Golf

Tee off at the world-class golf courses in the region.

Golfing in Central Otago is all about fun in the sun, and at the same time enjoying the region’s fabulous scenery. Perfectly located on the shores of Lake Dunstan, and right across the highway from the Wooing Tree Estate, Cromwell Golf Club enjoys the reputation of being one of the best club courses on offer in the region. It is not a resort course, however it strives to be the ‘best of the rest’.

And within an hour’s drive of Cromwell are another seven excellent golf courses, including the South Island’s Holy Grail of golf courses – Jack’s Point, The Hills and Millbrook – regarded as three of the best courses in the country, bar none.

Mill Brook Golf Course

Millbrook

Set in a natural alpine amphitheatre against the backdrop of the Remarkables, this 27-hole golf course exploits the dramatic terrain and delivers world-class golf.

The Hills

The Hills was designed by Darby Partners and opened in 2007 to host the NZ Open. Set in over 500 acres of land stretching across a glacial valley, the layout highlights rocky outcrops.
